Happy Halloween!
Another Song I Love
Yes, my taste lately has been leaning towards Alternative Music. It's just something that I'm into right now. This is another song I have been waking up to in the a.m.----Leigh doesn't like it...lol..but it makes me joyful.
Here are THE KILLS singing "Sour Cherry":
The Week in a Nutshell
Monday was waiver day for us, and Tuesday was a regular day. As for Wednesday, I was off since Leigh had an appointment in the valley. Then on Thursday the announcements were made for the door decorating contest----our class won 1st Place!!!! So, on Friday, we had a regular day for the a.m. but then after lunch and p.e., it was MOVIE TIMEEEE! Woohoooo! It was a nice change of pace for the kiddos since we were able to watch a movie on Halloween. Yipeee.
Oh yes, in my class today, I had the following characters: Hanna Montana (blond wig and all), a half devil/half angel, a witch, two brides, a fifties girl, a football player, a hunter, Cinderella, the grim reaper, and a gothic girl. Yes, it was a tad bit crazy today, but gosh, I love Halloween!

SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE IT by Metro Station
Skulls
My mind is either still stuck in the door decorating mode for Red Ribbon Week (We decorated our door with mini-Qtip skeletons with the slogan 'No Bones About It---Drugs Are Dangerous!' today)...or it's due to the upcoming holiday of Halloween. Either that, or my mind is a bit morbid tonight. However, my mind is on skulls so I found these optical illusions that focus on the theme of Skulls.

There's Gotta Be Something More....Gotta Be More Than This....
Last week, I had to work on 44 files and so for most of the week I was coming home at 6:30ish and 7:00ish. Not a good thing, especially since when I was at home I was STILL working. Argh! Anyway, I had double files to work on since my team partner wasn't at school (and won't be for another month or so due to maternity leave). Thus, I had to complete my paperwork (as well as hers). Fortunately, I got it all done (yes, it took a few days of my heart feeling as though it was going to expire from beating so fast when I was in my oh-my-gosh-i-feel-as-if-i-will-not-get-this-done-on-time mode.)
This week I am making an effort to leave at least by 4:15 everyday. That's my goal. Let's see if I can keep it. (Fingers crossed!)
On Friday, we had an early release, so I was able to dash over to visit Mom at the home. And I found her in a state. She was hunched over to the side and completely drenched with sweat. Seeing her that way pained me to the core. I was so upset, but kept back the tears. Instead, I got the nurses to help me change her, and then after Mom was tucked into bed for some rest, I demanded answers as to why she wasn't being looked after properly. I spent the remainder of the afternoon with Mom until it was time to take her to the dining room.
Friday evening through Saturday was spent with me battling a Stomach Virus, which my better half had had on Friday and that I caught later that evening. On Saturday afternoon, we went grocery shopping and then as soon as we got home, my energy was depleted from being ill. I slept for a few hours and then it was time to make dinner. I made Chicken Pie (thanks to Tyson's delish recipe book!) and both Leigh and I enjoyed the meal. By then, I felt alot better!
This weekend was also spent on working on 8 lesson plans, and they are all done now so I can relax for a few minutes. Well, at least until the laundry is done!
