Cold Front

Okay, we're supposed to get cold weather in a few hours. The coldest temperatures will probably drop down to the thirties. Not as cold as to bring snow, but the thought of cool weather has me wishing for glistening ivory snow, hot cocoa, and wearing fuzzy sweaters.

A Loss

I went back to work today, and at the moment I'm feeling extremely tired. The morning began with some sadness since Blue (our Betta fish) passed away today. I was going to feed him his morning meal when I noticed that he was at the bottom of the fish bowl. I wanted to burst into tears because we've had him as a member of our family for months now, and I've gotten used to watching him when I cook or talking to him when I was frustrated with something. (He was situated on the dinner table.) My heart is a tad heavy tonight with grief of losing such a good pet who brought so much light into our life.
